Mountain thyme

It is one of the most important plants for Greek beekeepers because it produces thyme honey, which has a unique taste and aroma. It only thrives in warm climates in southern Europe, which is why this type of honey is highly prized in Northern Europe. It grows mostly in dry, hot areas of Greece especially in the Peloponnese, Crete, and the Cyclades islands
